It's a Marvelous Work 5/29/17

This week was pretty crazy, but I can say that it was one of the best weeks ever!!
Sister Clayton, Sister Palmer, and my companion on our splits!
This past Monday we had the Clayton's come as our general authority visitors, and we had many wonderful conferences with them! We then had a Leadership Meeting with them and the thing I learned most about them was the following: WE JUST NEED TO LOVE EVERYONE. In the world today, we are just so absorbed into our own selves, if we want to be happy, then we just need to serve someone! The Clayton's are the perfect examples of CHARITY and how to MAGNIFY YOUR CALLINGS. I was so grateful to be with them.

Something really cool was that my companion and I were chosen to go out teaching in our area with Sister Clayton and Sister Palmer, our sweet mission president's wife! WHAT AN HONOR THAT WAS! We all had great experiences and we learned so much from one another.

Then with all these meetings, we were sooooo blessed to have the baptism of our investigator. You can totally see the Lord's hand at work here in Oakdale and "I just all amazed at the love Jesus offers me..." ;) I am so grateful for the work here and I love being a missionary. YES, it is hard and sometimes stressful. But this time I am giving to the Lord is just an expression of my love for Him, and He is blessing us so much for this work. I love my Savior  Jesus Christ, I know he lives and loves us. I  know that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us as well and wants us to return to Him. I am grateful for this work and for the time we have to help families to return back to Him and to show them their true eternal potential. I am SOOOOOO grateful for temples. I know they are the house of the Lord.  The hardest thing on my mission is that we are not allowed to go (its too far away and not in our mission). I  miss going and feeling the sweet spirit there. I miss it so much. But I know that one day, I can return again. And we all can return to it, you just got to be faithful and have an  obedient loving heart for your Savior. :)

I love you all so much, I hope you all have a great week. I am praying for you all!! :D

Oakdale 5/22/17

HELLO World!

BOY OH BOY! It has been a great week!

We have been teaching a great guy right now named Joel, and he has a baptism date! We have been teaching him for a while, but we had the wonderful opportunity to have our mission president and his lovely wife to come out teaching with us! All I can say was at first, I was so stressed and very intimidated. BUT! I love President Palmer SO MUCH. It was amazing and it was exactly what our investigator needed. I am so grateful for leaders today to help lead and guide and bless others.

We also had our Sister Training Leader exchanges and it was super fun! I got to venture out of the area we are usually serving it and go out to "the country" area of our ward. SO MANY HILLS AND SO MANY COUNTRY THINGS! I got a picture with goats, I hope you enjoy it. But it is great too but kind of scary... our TIWI (which in this monitor in our car that yells at us if we are speeding or going crazy) doesn't work in the country.... so.... You can go pretty fast there, but I was a good slow grandma driver and didn't go over a big speed. But it was super fun to drive out there....

Today we had zone conference with Elder Weatherford T. Clayton and his lovely wife, and IT WAS AMAZING! I felt so loved and know that I am supposed to be out on a mission right now. We get to see his wife tonight, because we were chosen to go out teaching with her. So we will let you know next week how that went! But I am so grateful for missionary work and how the work will always continue and how we can all be missionaries! :D

I love you all!

New Area, New Companion

May 15, 2017

HELLO WORLD!

I have been transferred to BEAUTIFUL Oakdale! I am on some REALLY old computers right now (like, half of the buttons are gone... HAHA it is great!), so I will figure out pictures this next week!

But this week has just flown by too quickly. I am with the LOVELY Sister Beteiti (pronounced Beh-dace) and she is from Kiribati (pronounced key-deh-bess) AND I LOVE HER!!! She is the most humble missionary I know and she is just so powerful. Something really cool about her, she learned English at the MTC and didn't know it before. She is seriously FLUENT now and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to witness the gift of tongues in action! This week we were finding lots of people, and we have had much success! There are a lot of churches here, but people are always willing to hear our message! Something I didn't know about Oakdale is.... THERE ARE SO MANY HILLS.... Biking UP and DOWN and UPPPPPP and speeding down... It is tiring. BUT! I know that it will make me strong! :D And me and Sister Beteiti laugh about it and sing as we go up the mountains.

A fun story this week was we have made it a goal to talk to everyone as we pass by them and that day we made a goal to get 5 referrals (usually that is IMPOSSIBLE), so we were biking by this man. And we was telling us about his life, and he was packing up to move. We got his new address so other missionaries can go talk to him. My awesome companion asked if he knew anyone who would be interested in our message, he gave us 6 names...  HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God is so good to us, we had faith that we could find that many names and He made it all happen. It was really neat.
I am just so grateful for the gospel and for the power and truth it gives us.

ALSO, Happy Mother's day! :D I got to talk to my family for the last time, it was my 3rd time skyping. Its so strange to think I won't skype again.  Time is going too fast and I am loving it here and can't image never being a missionary. The mission is a blessing in my life, and it feels like my home. I LOVE IT!

And I hope you all have a great week! LOVE YOU!

Turlock to Oakdale next week--Transfers!

May 7, 2017
Best Ward Mission Leader ever!

Hello!!

SO much is happening in the world! Well, in the Modesto California Mission world. We had our transfer calls this past week, Sister Anderson will be with my old companion Sister Bell! They will be over Stockton as STL's!! I am so excited for them!

AND... I WILL BE SISTER BETEITI in Oakdale (known as "the cowboy capital of the world") as STL's!! :D I am beyond excited, everyone is going to be in the right place. I have been able to pray about it, and I have gotten the confirmation that this is where I am suppose to be, and I am super excited for Sister Anderson. I am going to miss her SO MUCH. But she will be fantastic with Sister Bell, they will ROCK IT in a Stockton!

This is going to be a crazy transfer. A general authority will be coming, and we are super excited for him to come! He will be coming in 2 weeks, and we have a lot to prepare before he comes! I am just so excited for all these changes, and I usually hate change. So this is just a sign that God is helping me repent/change for the best. :)

Also, our mission president challenged us to read the Book of Mormon and mark all the scriptures that has Christ's name/reference of Him, when He speaks, and mark scriptures about our mission purpose/vision. AND I AM LEARNING SO MUCH! This is going to sound silly, but Christ speaks SO MUCH to us! I am so grateful to have the Book of Mormon, I know that it is true. I believe that instead of it being "another testament of Jesus Christ" I believe it is THE testament of Jesus Christ. I am just so grateful for the things I have been able to learn and been able to see all the changes around me to help me become the person that God wants me to become.

I love you all! I hope you have a great week!! Here are some pictures!

Service in Turlock, CA

May 1st

Hello Everyone Who Reads This Blog:

I hope you all know how much you all mean to me. I was looking back at my blogs I have sent, and some of my thoughts were:"people keep reading this??" So for all of you die-hard fans, THANK YOU AND I LOVE YOU!!!

FUN FACT... A couple years ago, Turlock, CA was awarded in the Guinness World Record Book for having the MOST CHURCHES PER CAPITA (in other words, the most churches per person in the city). I am SO grateful to be surrounded by so many religions and so many wonderful people who believe. But it can a little bit harder to find people who have a open mind and heart, and who are willing to change. The luck we are having is we go to this apartment complex with elderly people... I LOVE OLD PEOPLE! Elderly people and children are SO WILLING to change and so willing to learn more! I can now see why Christ asks us to be more child-like.

Well, we had a great week and WE GOT TO DO SERVICE!! We were apart of "LoveTurlock" and that is when all the community (people, cultures, religions) get together and serve. They shared the scripture from 1 John 4:19-"We love Him, because he first loved us."

I love that scripture, it just helps me see that Jesus Christ loves us so much, and we should and need to love Him! He loves us so much!!

Well, know that I love you all and I am praying for you always!

LOVE
SISTER GUILOTT!
