Cats on bikes. . .

Good morning world!
Went on a split with this cute sister and had a wonderful time!
I just want to share with you a really neat experience from this week. We have been trying to find investigators, we talk to everyone. Like family, you won't believe how open I am to people. We are saying hi to everyone. Whether it be the people in their yards, on the sidewalk, in their cars, and so many more places... well. We had a tough day of many people try to bash with us, and tell us how Joseph Smith is *insert all crazy, untrue facts here* and I just am done with it. SO we were at our dinner appointment, and me and Sister Anderson got on the conversations of pets. The woman said: "Oh my gosh! You would love my cat! She loves to bike around with me!  You should see if she likes to bike with you" ... SO WE PUT IT TO THE TEST... The cat did like to be in the basket! haha.
Missions definately have their moments of fun!

I just am so grateful for the complete truth we have of the gospel. Being from Utah, I really took it for granted and now I am seeing how it is PERFECT.

I love you all and hope you have a wonderful week!

Easter in Turlock

Hello!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter Weekend and I hope you were all able to have a fantastic week! I was able to experience many wonderful things this past week and I would love to be able to share them with you!

First, I was able to go on exchanges with a SWEET sister from Japan! It was an incredible experience, because I was able to witness the gift of tongues and to be with seriously one of the best sisters ever!
She had such a strong testimony, even though she did struggle with some English. The Spirit made up for the parts she struggled with. It was an awesome exchange, and you can just tell how adorable the missionaries are here! I am just so grateful for missionaries around the world who sacrifice so much: leaving their home, immersing into a different culture, learning a new language, being in different areas, and so much more. I have come to appreciate ALL MISSIONARIES!! I love the Lord so much, and I just see His love through His faithful servants serving the Him with all their hearts, might, minds, and strength.

Second, I am just so grateful to be here in Turlock. We have had many days where we are knocking on doors. But I am learning and growing so much from the wonderful people around us! I am learning a lot about Christ's love and how we must have that for others. I love the scripture of the two great commandments, in Matthew 22 it says:"Thou shalt love the Lord with all thy soul, and with all thy mind... And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself..."

I am learning to love my neighbor... but I am honestly learning more about loving myself and finding my strengths to help others to grow their love for Christ. I am going to be honest, I have compared so much while I have been out on my mission. I am surrounded by so many wonderful missionaries and examples, I belittle myself so much. But. After MONTHS, I have finally come to realize how much Heavenly Father LOVES ME. I am so grateful to know that I am His, and that we all are apart of His Heavenly Family. :)

I hope you all have a fantastic week, know that I love you all and I am praying for you all always! I believe in Christ and I know He is my Savior. I know that I could never repay all the things He has done for me. But I know that all I need to do is LOVE HIM and SERVE HIM. :) And to live my mission vision, which is: "We are One with the Savior, in doing the will of the Father."
LOVE YOU ALL! HAVE A GREAT WEEK!

Spreading Cheer - Painting Over Graffiti

GOOD MORNING WORLD!! :)

I just wish I could hug all of you that have been reading these blogs for the past year... I really don't know how you do it. I just want you to know that I seriously am so grateful for all of you and love you all so much! This week I celebrated my year mark a missionary! Hooray! It's funny, it felt like any other day as a missionary. Which makes me happy, since I just wanted to do missionary work on that day anyway.

But  we did something really cool this past week! Me, my awesome companion, and other missionaries went to do a day of service in a city close by. We had signed up to garden, but instead we got told to paint on walls. The towns we serve in called Delhi used to be a huge gangster town, and all the walls in the town were tagged or made these huge scary murals. SO!! The towns people a couple years back took action and decided to paint the whole city with nice sayings and funny murals. We had to assignment to go over and paint over any tagging and to write out "Love Delhi" and it was GREAT!! One of the missionaries had the genius idea to write out a Thomas S. Monson quote, we got permission to write it. IT IS SO COOL.
I just am so grateful for service and the opportunity to help out. God wants us to serve, and we all feel so much better when we do serve. I came on a mission just to serve. But finally coming to realize it, I came out to serve others and to serve the God I love so much. I am so grateful for this gospel and for coming to know that my Heavenly Father loves me so much that He provided a way for us to come back to Him. He provided a plan, and central to that plan in Jesus Christ and His Atonement. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ's Atonement, we can do so many things through it. I can repent, I will have an advocate when I am judged, I can be with my wonderful family for time and all eternity. I love being here, even though life gets really tough. But I know I can rely fully on my Savior and have him be the center of my life. I am grateful for the sacrifice I have made to come out here and to serve in the Modesto, California mission. I know that I am doing this work for my Savior who is always right beside me, helping me along the way. This work is great, and it isn't just for missionaries. We can all be member missionaries! Go help a friend, go study your scriptures, go show someone you care! God will bless you so much for it! I love you all so much, thank you again for always reading. I hope you all have a wonderful week, know that I pray for you all.

One Year Out!

Hello!

This is probably getting to you late. And it will probably be the shortest blog ever.  But I wanted to let you know that I am still alive and the gospel of Jesus Christ is even more alive!

This week was conference... WHAT A GLORIOUS WEEKEND. I am soooooo grateful for conference. I loved hearing the prophet, apostles, and general authority speak. I know that they are true disciples of Christ and I sustain them! I loved Pres. Monson's talk so much! He is truly a prophet of God. I am now taking his challenge to read the Book of Mormon everyday, and truly studying it! I love pondering the scriptures and being inspired by the spirit of God. I am just so grateful for all the talks, I can't pick a favorite one! They were all perfect and I felt like I needed it.

I hope you all have a wonderful week and know that I love you all! Thank you for your support!

This is why I was late today blogging... We went to Big Trees with our mission president! It was tons of fun! Enjoy these pics!
